0x Labs raises $70 million in funding
Greylock Partners led the funding round, which also included Pantera, Jump Capital, OpenSea, and Jared Leto as investors. Coinbase, which recently launched its own NFT marketplace powered by 0x's technology, also participated in the funding round. The valuation was not disclosed.With the new funding, product manager 0x Labs plans to expand its team of 62 employees and expand its current services. In addition to supporting Coinbase's NFT ambitions, this includes its DEX aggregator Matcha, NFT swap capabilities, and 0x protocol. The protocol's integration with Coinbase, in particular, was a significant step forward because it demonstrated the protocol's capabilities to the general public.
What exactly does 0x Labs do?
0x Labs provides a number of products, including a liquidity API that enables developers to split transactions between decentralized exchanges in order to find the best prices and throughput. Uniswap, Curve, and Balancer are among the supported exchanges. Matcha, the industry's second largest decentralized exchange aggregator, is another product they developed, and they have recently been working more in the NFT space.0x previously raised $24 million through a ZRX token sale and $15 million through a Series A equity round led by Pantera Capital. Following Coinbase's announcement, ZRX, the native token of the 0x protocol, increased by more than 50% to $1.10, its highest level since December.
