Algorand is ready to bring a series of upgrades to the users of the blockchain-based system which will be focused on privacy, speed, and 'co-chains.' The series of upgrades have been confirmed by the founder of the blockchain-based platform, Silvio Micali at the Australian Blockchain Week.

Algorand is coming up with a number of upgrades and this was confirmed by Micali, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor who spoke to a crowd of 150 people that gathered at a co-working space in Sydney’s Central Station on Tuesday morning, as per a report. "We are assembling a great team and we already have some plans," said Micali.The Algorand founder further added that the development team plans to "include a layer of privacy and it’s going to be first-class … that’s why we’ve developed it together with regulators." However, he did not reveal additional details on the matter.

Micali said that he is a firm believer in privacy and plans to implement the same in Algorand. And so we are going to have multiple chains, and Algorand is going to be one of them.Micali also noted that they are planning to improve the speed of Algorand as well and the next upgrade would enhance the power and speed of the network by 10 times and the next upgrade will also improve upon that.
