Binance Partners with The Weeknd to launch 'After Hours Til Dawn' tour-centric NFTs
The favorite of dark music lovers, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, professionally known as The Weeknd, has good news for his fans. The crypto exchange Binance will officially sponsor the singer's "After Hours Til Dawn," starting July 8.

According to the announcement by the exchange giant, it has partnered with The Weeknd's HXOUSE, a globally focused think-center and community incubator for creative entrepreneurs, to launch an exclusive NFT collection for the singer's tour. These tour-centric NFTs will be in the form of Attendees' virtual ticket stubs, used to obtain commemorative NFTs to present fans with one-of-a-kind experiences.The collaboration marks the world's first global concert tour to use Web 3.0 technologies to improve the fan experience. Abel says:
"I was impressed by their [Binance's] focus on users and innovative edge. I can't wait for fans to experience crypto within a creative avenue while supporting a good cause. There are so many possibilities with crypto, and I think this is just the beginning."
NFT series for a good cause
The Weeknd, United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Global Goodwill Ambassador, founded the XO Humanitarian Fund earlier this year. The fund aims to help WFP's lifesaving rescue operations in hunger hotspots worldwide. To mark a good start to the tour, Binance will donate $2 million to the XO Humanitarian Fund, which WFP USA administers.In addition, The Weeknd and Binance are also collaborating on a specially designed NFT series, with 5% of proceeds going to the XO Humanitarian Fund. The Weeknd confirmed the same by stating that the two entities will "collaborate on charitable efforts to provide food to those in need" in a recent tweet.
