Shiba Inu, two others debut on Coinbase Pro
Coinbase has been active in recent months, adding support for numerous cryptocurrencies. The US-based crypto exchange has now added support for the Shiba Inu token a few weeks after Dogecoin on its Pro platform. Coinbase also added support for Chiliz (CHZ) and Keep Network (KEEP).The crypto exchange announced this via a blog post yesterday. “Starting today, Tuesday, June 15, transfer CHZ, KEEP and SHIB into your Coinbase Pro account ahead of trading. Support for CHZ, KEEP and SHIB will generally be available in Coinbase’s supported jurisdictions with the exception of Singapore. CHZ and SHIB will not be available to New York residents,” Coinbase wrote.
According to the crypto exchange, trading services for the supported cryptocurrencies would commence tomorrow if liquidity conditions are met. After establishing enough liquidity for the cryptocurrencies, the following base pairs would be available to Coinbase Pro traders; CHZ-USD, CHZ-EUR, CHZ-GBP, CHZ-USDT, KEEP-USD, SHIB-USD and SHIB-USDT.
In accordance with its usual announcements, Coinbase said the three listed cryptocurrencies are not yet available on the Coinbase official website or its mobile apps. The crypto exchange will make a separate announcement if and when the cryptocurrencies are added to the platforms
Coinbase speeds up its cryptocurrency listing process
Coinbase had admitted earlier this year that its process of listing cryptocurrencies on its platforms is slow. The CEO Brian Armstrong said Coinbase would adopt a faster method of screening and listing coins and tokens on its trading platforms.Shiba Inu’s listing comes two weeks after Coinbase Pro added support for Dogecoin, another popular meme coin. Both SHIB (down -75% from ATH) and DOGE (down -60% from ATH) had good performances amongst meme coins but that is all they are.. meme coins.
