Crypto promotion ban won’t affect the demand, confirms Binance CEO
There has been an increased regulatory oversight over crypto promotions and it seems that the CEO of the world’s biggest crypto exchange has something to say about the matter. In an interview with CNBC, Chanpeng “CZ” Zhao revealed that the crypto promotion ban won’t affect the demand of cryptocurrencies.

In his statement with CNBC, CZ mentioned the fact that crypto promotion and advertisement is something that has seen widespread implementation in recent years. He believes that the advertisement has got very little to do with the surge in crypto adoption.Binance CEO believes that the best crypto promotion comes via ‘word of mouth’ strategy, i.e., one person telling the other about the effectiveness of these blockchain-based assets.
“Clampdown on crypto advertising is unlikely to have much of an effect on demand, as most of the crypto users come from word-of-mouth promotions anyway,” said CZ.
Growing restrictions
There have been a number of cases wherein nations have banned crypto promotion with recently Spain leading the charge on the matter. Spain has implemented a crackdown on crypto ads and promotions done by social media influencers. As per the recent law, they will now have to reveal all about the promotions they do and bear responsibility for them.Furthermore, the Indian Crypto Bill, which is still pending discussion, also aims to ban crypto promotion from exchanges as well as other projects. Moreover, the United Kingdom has also started investigating Floki Inu’s (FLOKI) rapid and viral marketing in the nation wherein the whole streets were bombarded with Floki Inu posters.
On the other hand, CZ believes that increased restriction and ban shows how the demand of cryptocurrencies is skyrocketing and that the industry doesn’t need much advertisement.
