With that said, let’s start with the very first step, which is selecting an exchange.

Step 1: Select an Exchange

The main issue beginners face is selecting the right exchange. Finding a reliable and trustworthy platform is the key. Before you begin the process of adding SOL to Metamask, you must register on a cryptocurrency exchange that supports the tokens you want to trade. Here are some popular exchanges:

Now that your account is ready, you need to add funds. There are usually several options to fund your account.

 

 

There are usually several options to fund your account. You can choose from the following options if you don't have any crypto assets.

• Buy with GBP: You can add funds using a bank transfer or credit/debit card.
• P2P Trading: You can buy directly from another user on the platform.

However, if you have crypto assets in your account, you can go with the:

• Deposit Crypto: You can exchange other cryptocurrencies for GBP.

Before proceeding, make sure you are aware of deposit fees and transfer times.

Note: Once you've deposited GBP into your account, you'll have to convert it into USDT. It's a fairly simple process.

However, we’ll be adding USDT directly to your wallet using a credit/debit card. 

• First, you need to open the Binance app and tap on the search bar.

Now, one thing that you should know is that Metamask doesn't directly support the Solana blockchain, but there are other means by which you can hold SOL in Metamask. For that purpose, we'll shift to desktop and login to the account using the Metamask extension.

• Start by adding the Metamask extension from the Chrome Web Store.

 

 

• Now, click on the checkbox and click on the "Import an existing wallet" button.

 

 

• Paste your security phrase and click on the "Confirm Security Recovery Phrase" button.

 

 

• Create a new password and click on the "Import my wallet" button.

 

 

Now, you've logged in to your Metamask Wallet.

 

Step 6: Connecting the Solana Wallet Snap

Now that your Metamask wallet is ready, you must add a snap to the wallet.

• Go to the 3 dots on the top-right corner and click on the "Snaps" option.

 

 

• Click on the "Discover Snaps" option.

 

 

• Look up "Solana Wallet" and click on the "Add to MetaMask" button.

Step 8: Adding Solana to Metamask

• Copy the address for SOL.

 

 

• Paste the previously copied SOL address of your Phantom Wallet and select the network.

 

 

• Now, select the amount of USDT you want to send and tap on the “Withdraw” button.

 

 

• Tap on the “Confirm” button.

 

 

• Complete the authentication process for both Email and the Authenticator App.

 

 

After the verification process is complete, the SOL will be transferred to your Metamask.
