Emirates airline plans to debut NFTs and enter the metaverse industry
Emirates, the largest airline and one of two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates or UAE, has confirmed that it will launch a new NFT collection and also enter the metaverse industry by launching fun experiences in the metaverse for all of its customers and employees.
Emirates brings NFT and metaverse experiences
As per the official release from the Emirates website, the airline is all set "to build signature brand experiences in the metaverse" and also bring NFTs which will have collectible value and will be utility-based as well. The official statement from the website also added:Emirates also announced that its Emirates Pavilion at the Expo 2020 site will be repurposed into a center for innovation, bringing talent from all over the globe to bring to life the airline’s future-focused projects including those relating to the metaverse, NFTs and Web3.On the other hand, Emirates is also actively recruiting people for its Web 3.0 projects and is engaging in partnerships as well. The flagship aircraft from the airline, A380, and Boeing 777-300ER Gamechanger have already offered virtual reality or VR experiences to customers, and last year, the firm successfully launched its very own "VR app on the Oculus store, offering users accurate, life-size, and interactive cabin interior experiences."
