EToro introduces a new crypto portfolio
Leading brokerage platform eToro has launched a new portfolio that allows users to diversify their investments to include DeFi tokens. The portfolio will allow its users to invest in a wide range of cryptocurrencies and DeFi tokens.The DeFi Portfolio by eToro comprises 11 DeFi assets. These assets are; ether, uniswap, chainlink, aave, compound, yearn.finance, decentraland, polygon, algorand, basic Attention token and maker.
The brokerage platform said, “To take advantage of the enormous impact on the broader digital economy moving forward, eToro created the DeFiPortfolio, which aggregates selected crypto assets part of the DeFi revolution, including Ethereum. Some of the crypto assets of @DeFiPortfolio are $UNI , $MANA , $LINK , $COMP , $ALGO and $AAVE.”
EToro said it made these changes due to the rapid rise of the DeFi space and the high demand for decentralized finance tokens. The mining investment in this portfolio is $1,000.
ETH takes the lion shares
A third of the portfolio is allocated to Ether, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. EToro allocated 11.67% of the portfolio to ALGO, while the remaining nine assets have between 4-8% allocations.According to Dani Brinker, eToro’s head of portfolio investments, the DeFi sector can be a minefield for investors who don’t have the time to research every asset’s whitepaper.
