Skepticism around the CEO
Her appointment as Bakkt CEO was skeptical as her husband is the founder, chairman and CEO of the parent company “Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)” and her recent actions in the stock market were met by plenty of criticism.
Loeffler was found to have sold $20 million worth of stocks after senate briefing and meetings leading up to the coronavirus which led people to believe she was acting based on inside information for her own personal gain. Ironically, it is stated that during the time she and senator Richard Burr sold their stocks, they were reassuring the public in regards to the novel virus.
Her response to the allegations was made via the following tweet:

Task force
The bipartisan crew of lawmakers that task force president Trump has put together, that includes senator Loeffler, was built in order to “provide counsel to the president on the reopening of America in the wake of COVID-19”. Originally, president Trump was looking to open the economy as early as May 1st, however he has not reiterated this point in recent meetings as it contradicts advice from health officials.
The consensus of that task force is split between Republicans who are warning against the economic threat that could outweigh the virus effects and the Democrats who are recommending a more swift approach and gradual reopening with wide testing being the first phase.
Senator Loeffler
Her advice will likely not be directed towards cryptocurrencies in any form. However, the presence of an individual that sees the benefits of this over asset class, within a task force where advice is seeked for the re-opening of the world’s largest economy is a big step towards an increase in awareness.
