GuardianLink partners with StarkWare to launch a zero-gas fee Layer 2 for NFTs
GuardianLink, an NFT marketplace, has partnered with StarkWare, a blockchain firm headquartered in Israel, has confirmed the launch of a zero-gas fee Layer 2 for NFTs or non-fungible tokens, which will operate using Zero-Knowledge Rollup (zk rollup), a Layer 2 blockchain solution that performs computations and storage off-chain while funds are held in a smart contract.
GuardianLink strikes a deal with StarkWare
As per a report shared by GuardianLink, gas fees have been a significant issue for NFT enthusiasts who are consistently minting these blockchain-based tokens on the Ethereum or Solana network. Gas fees are the transaction fees people minting NFTs on blockchains have to pay. The firm plans to use zk rollups to reduce the gas fees to zero on the NFT marketplace.Moreover, the zk rollups can reduce the gas fee to zero on GuardianLink and enhance transaction speed and enable effective scaling up for high-frequency trading and NFT Gaming. It is also crucial to note that despite being minted on the Layer 2 blockchain, the NFTs will be secured by the Ethereum network as if they were minted on the Layer 1 blockchain.
GuardianLink believes that this is a revolutionary technology for the NFT industry, and its deal with StarkWare will be a first for the Asian market.
Exclusive cricket NFTs
GuardianLink will be releasing its exclusive cricket NFTs and digital cricket collectibles via Jump.trade, a gaming NFT marketplace which is fully operated by the firm. As per its deal with StarkWare, the firm will be using its technology for the base layer of the Layer 2 solution, which makes it interoperable with all the major blockchains, including Ripple, Solana, and Polygon and Avalanche, and more.Arjun Reddy, co-founder, and CTO of GuardianLink, commented on this development:
