Helium Network announces integration of Microsoft IoT Central with its console
A blockchain network that leverages a decentralized global network of Hotspots, Helium Network has announced the integration of Microsoft IoT Central with the Helium Console.

Following the integration of Azure IoT Console last year, Helium Network has joined hands with Microsoft to enable Microsoft IoT users to leverage the Helium Network’s massive coverage for building and expanding the range of their IoT solutions, while sending their data to their Azure dashboards, “safely and quickly.”The ubiquitous coverage of Helium Network, which has over 719K Hotspots in more than 54K cities worldwide, seeks to assist Microsoft Azure users in connecting their business applications and their IoT data without the requirement for additional infrastructure to be purchased and deployed.
Notably, Azure IoT Central, Microsoft’s highly secure, low-code/no-code IoT platform, is created to “scale with businesses as they grow, ensure investments are repeatable and integrate with existing business apps.” It is used and trusted by several big players including C.H. Robinson, ABInBev, Clean Energy, and the United Nations Development Programme.
The principal program manager at Azure IoT Engineering, Oscar Naim said that the integration mainly provides customers with a better experience on Azure for building their end-to-end solutions. He went on to add:
“We think it makes sense to work with the Helium Network as one of our LoRaWAN partners because it provides a path for customers that don’t want to invest on gateway infrastructure upfront.”
