Japan's largest social media app LINE launches its own NFT marketplace
Japan, one of the leading nations of Asia, has a lot of crypto-based projects popping up. LINE, the largest social media application in the nation, has confirmed the launch of a new non-fungible token or NFT marketplace.

LINE currently has more than 90 million users and it plans to offer all these users, around 40,000 NFTs. In order to successfully do so, the social media app's LVC Corporation has partnered with a well-known and major Japanese entertainment conglomerate, Yoshimoto Kogyo. The LVC Corporation oversees LINE’s crypto assets and blockchain business units.Furthermore, the first NFT collection was released on April 13th and included videos from the in-house Yoshimoto NFT Theatre. The Yoshimoto NFT theater has 28 groups and 54 types of controls from popular entertainers such as Chocolate Planet, Magic Lovely, and Newyork to veterans.
The person who will have completed all 54 types will get a signed NFT of 27 groups of entertainers who participated in the control over for a limited time. Moreover, the first NFT collection in partnership with LINE NFT marketplace will also include Patlabor the Mobile Police, a well-known anime series.

Another important fact is that the buyers will be able to store their NFTs via the LINE BitMa wallet which has been built in partnership with a major crypto exchange, BitMax. The launch of a new NFT marketplace is another vital leap taken by LINE in the world of crypto.It is important to mention here that the social media application is one of the most crypto-friendly firms in Japan which had recently decided to offer LINE’s crypto-asset LINK as a “payment option at some online merchants for a trial period from March 16 to December 26, 2022, in Japan.” With the usage of LINE Pay, buyers will be able to pay merchants using LINK.
