MetaMask integrates Apple Pay for iOS users to buy crypto using debit and credit cards
On Tuesday, Ethereum-based software crypto wallet MetaMask posted a thread of updates for iPhone and Apple Pay users on Twitter.

MetaMask has integrated Apple Pay on its system after which iOS users can easily buy crypto using debit or credit card through the mobile application, eliminating the need to transfer Ethereum from a centralized exchange platform into the app, promoting transparency and gasless transactions where relevant.MetaMask uses two payment gateways: Wyre and Transak for debit and credit card transactions support.
Through Wyre API, users can now use their Visa and Mastercards stored in Apple Pay to buy ETH and deposit a daily limit of $400 into their wallets. Gas fees are reportedly cheaper, with some transactions may even be gasless if done on a private blockchain or if a project pays for the gas on the behalf of the user. MetaMask informs that the company does not profit from gas fees while making an ETH purchase.
Transak enables users to buy the stablecoins USDT, USDC, and DAI on the Ethereum mainnet for some time now. The recent update allows users to make bank transfers and use credit or debit cards to buy crypto using 60 crypto tokens. The company informs that the exact payment methods and fees will depend on the location.
It has also launched the Apple Dark Mode feature after popular demand. Users would need to update their MetaMask Mobile to v4.3.1 to see all the updates in action.
Important Security update
MetaMask posted about another "important" security upgrade for sending tokens. Unlike sending ETH to a recipient address, tokens are delivered to a contract address with instructions to send a certain number of tokens to the destination address.
