A report from Reuters confirms that the firm "sold 18.95 million Switch video game consoles in the nine months to the end of December" while the total sales of the firm passed $100 million. However, the firm remains vague about metaverse expansion.

"It wouldn't be a plus to suddenly bring in people who don't have Nintendo's way of thinking."Furukawa added in his statement that the firm would only step in the metaverse when it would provide "surprise and fun" to the users, which is the main goal behind any decision the firm makes. In all, the President has remained vague about the plans of Nintendo entering the metaverse.

Furthermore, Walmart is also planning to enter the metaverse."We are testing new ideas all the time. Some ideas become products or services that make it to customers. The company aims for better customer interaction during the COVID-19 wave as the stores will include 3 rooms: customization, sustainability, and connection.
