Dither

Dither is a Solana ecosystem project on a mission to build the world's most powerful AI time-series models for trading. In simple terms, it creates cutting-edge AI bots for everyday users to trade and make better investment decisions.

Previously, we covered that Telegram bots are not just hype but have legit use cases, and they can be great assistants if used properly. Similarly, Dither is a Telegram bot that aims to help everyday users leverage the power of AI models for trading and investing.

Dither's products include DitherBot and SeerBot.

DitherBot

Dithering refers to introducing a small amount of random noise/interference into a system. It's a technique originally used in digital signal processing to improve the quality and accuracy of digital signals.

With DitherBot, they are applying this concept of dithering to financial markets and trading. They aim to help make the pricing and trading of financial instruments (like stocks, bonds, cryptocurrencies, etc.) more efficient and accurate.

They plan to do this by essentially introducing some controlled "noise" or randomization into the market, which they believe will help reveal the true, fair prices of assets through better "price discovery."

SeerBot

SeerBot is a Dither product aimed at being an all-in-one trading bot with many upcoming features. On the backend, SeerBot can be integrated with popular Telegram bots such as Bonkbot and Unibot. 

The integrators will pay referral fees, 50% of which will be used to improve liquidity on the Solana blockchain. We have noticed that BONKbot has already shown interest in Ditcher's Twitter spaces, which is certainly a green flag. 

So, how good is their AI bot?

We dug out their percentile chart of max returns from their Telegram channel.

We can see the majority of them are between 0%-200% per signal.

SeerBot can also be used to trade memecoins and spot them early. The bot can check for red flags, "meme-ability".

The bot spotted $BODEN when it had a $220k market cap; today, it has a market cap of $255m (nearly 100x).

Tokenomics

Dither has a "DITH" token.

The token is used to access the services on the platform. To sign up for SeerBot, a user must hold at least 2500 DITH.

Investment thesis

In a bull market, prices are driven by narratives and stories rather than fundamentals.

Despite having decent fundamentals, checking whether Dither fits any narratives is important.

Fortunately, Dither fits many hot narratives: 

1. AI: Since Dither focuses on developing AI models for trading, it fits an AI narrative
2. Memecoins: The platform also focuses on developing AI models to trade memecoins. Hence, if memecoins start getting crazy again, DITH will most certainly catch some of the momentum.
3. Telegram bots: Dither's telegram bot enables users to access a wide range of features and functionalities for trading. Additionally, it is getting integrated as a backend by bots like BONKbot and UniBot.
4. Prediction markets: Dither focuses mainly on predicting certain outcomes based on historical data. This places Dither to benefit from the prediction markets narrative if, for example, Polymarket and other prediction markets get traction.

Together, all these narratives, combined with the novelty and fundamentals of the platform, can greatly benefit and propel this token to new heights.

However, because of the novelty and lack of sufficient data regarding the traction, we would consider it a "moonshot"—yet it is a moonshot worth a punt.

Telegram is one of the few Web 2 companies investing heavily in crypto markets. Its ecosystem is wide with Telegram bots that we find very useful, and yesterday, we argued that its TON network offers a low-risk 8x potential. 

The track record of Telegram bots is encouraging; we have already seen two waves of Telegram trading bots getting increased adoption. However, the innovation isn't stopping. Dither is one of those novel platforms layering smarter AI on Telegram bots.

To be clear, the project is still a moonshot, and this report is not a deep dive by our standards. We will be back with a more in-depth report.
