It's a win-win: they get you to test their product, and you get rewarded for your time!

Optimism Quests
Optimism Quests are on-chain tasks (i.e. staking, liquidity providing, trading, borrowing & lending) carried out by DeFi users using protocols on Optimism and lets you earn a free NFT as a reward for each quest completed. There are 18 total quests, and the maximum number of NFTs you can receive is 18.Notes.
Optimism has not confirmed another airdrop, so there is no guarantee to receive an airdrop even if you complete all quests.
You need around $500 to complete all quests. However, you can complete as many quests as you desire. Participation is only worthwhile if the funds consumed make up a small % of the portfolio.
After claiming each NFT, you can withdraw and get back your funds.
The more quests you complete, the higher the airdrop reward and the higher the risk.
Be sure to use the required funds specified for each quest - some quests in the videos use different amounts for tutorial purposes.
