Samsung teams up with Theta Labs to reward pre-ordering customers with Free NFTs
Samsung has announced that it has teamed up with Theta Lab's ThetaDrop NFT marketplace to celebrate the debut of its latest flagship device models, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8. The Korean electronics giant is giving away free NFTs to pre-order customers in South Korea.

Customers can get their free NFTs by registering on ThetaDrop and entering a unique code received after verification via their Samsung Members app. After the claim period expires, each qualifying customer receives a sealed NFT container, which they can unlock to get a unique generative NFT.Customers who pre-booked and pre-ordered in South Korea for the special celebratory NFT via their new gadget received it after the pre-order period ended.

Samsung debuted its metaverse live events last week with the launch of its latest product. It launched its first metaverse virtual store in Decentraland in January 2022. Despite the fact that the event staged on the Decenraland virtual lands' metaverse platform apparently fell short of expectations, the company continues to connect and reward customers.Mitch Liu, co-founder and CEO of Theta Labs claimed the NFTs reward customers for pre-ordering Samsung's flagship products in a press statement distributed to media outlets on Monday. It would be comparable to how smartphone manufacturers have always offered pre-ordering customers lower prices.
Samsung is using blockchain technology trends to provide additional perks to customers who pre-order its latest devices.
"We plan to provide ongoing membership benefits and privileges to Galaxy customers who own a Samsung Theta commemorative NFT and look forward to building a long-term community among members," Liu added.
