Skechers and Tokens.com partner up to build an experiential store in Decentraland
Skechers, the third-largest athletic footwear brand in the world, and Tokens.com, 'a publicly-traded company that invests in Web3 crypto assets and businesses linked to the Metaverse and NFTs' have confirmed a lease agreement via a press release. A subsidiary of Tokens.com, Metaverse Group, signed this deal with the athletic footwear brand.
Skechers leased a 5,000-square-foot space in Decentraland
The Decentraland metaverse is known for being the home of a number of projects and it seems that the newest band to jump in this metaverse is Skechers. The athletic footwear brand will be leasing around 5000 square foot space in Decentraland Metaverse which is actually owned by Metaverse Group and the goal behind this deal is to "build an experiential store on the Fashion Street Estate located in the Decentraland Metaverse."The CEO and Metaverse Group Executive Chairman said that this deal with Skechers marks Metaverse Group as "one of the first virtual landlords to successfully lease out its Metaverse real estate.”

The deal with Skechers is another addition to this growing list. Michael Greenberg, the president of Skechers, said:We look forward to embarking on this virtual era and exploring creative ways for our brand to engage with new customers and audiences as we launch the new Skechers experience.Moreover, Tokens.com also shared recently that Cavali, Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Saab, Etro, Jacob & Co., and Tommy Hilfiger will be joining the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week.
