Solana has been one of the best-performing cryptocurrencies in the world in recent months. The coin was rallying while the broader cryptocurrency market embarked on a bearish run. Solana reached a new-time high a few hours ago, surpassing the $200 mark for the first time in its history.This latest development comes as Bitcoin dropped below the $50k and traded around the $45k region yesterday. Ether also lost its support above $3,800 and dipped towards the $3,300 level during the market correction.

However, Solana’s value soared higher, with the cryptocurrency’s price now up by more than 70% in the last seven days. SOL is also up by 24% in the past 24 hours, making it one of the best-performing coins in the market.
Thanks to its latest rally, Solana is now the sixth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Solana surpassed Dogecoin, XRP and Polkadot to take the sixth position. SOL is currently trading at $201 per coin and has a market cap above $60 billion.

Solana’s price rally was accompanied by a spike in the cryptocurrency’s Google search. According to Google Trends, search query related to Solana is at an all-time high after reaching a score of 100.Google Trends indicates that people are searching for terms such as “how to buy Solana” and more.
