The Associated Press launches an NFT marketplace for its image
The Associated Press, a well-known firm in the world of news, has announced that it will be launching its very own NFT marketplace, which will host the collection of all the images owned by the firm. The firm had earlier also released an NFT collection on Binance, which MetaList Lab curated.

As per a report from The Associated Press is ready to launch its NFT marketplace in about 20 days. The NFT marketplace is being developed in partnership with Xooa, a platform that allows users to build Dapps and NFT marketplaces and will feature "the news agency's award-winning contemporary and historic photojournalism."Set to launch on Jan 31, the NFT marketplace will feature "photography by current and former AP photojournalists and a selection of digitally enhanced depictions of their work," said a blog by The Associated Press.
The images which have won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize will also be featured. Dwayne Desaulniers, The Associated Press' director of blockchain and data licensing, commented on the development:
"With Xooa's technology, we are proud to offer these tokenized pieces to a fast-growing global audience of photography NFT collectors."

The Associated Press NFT marketplace will feature non-fungible tokens with rich metadata through which buyers will know the "time, date, location, equipment and technical settings used for the shot."The topic of the NFTs will "range from space, climate, war, and other images," which will represent other notable works from specific AP photographers. Furthermore, the proceeds from the not-for-profit news will go back to funding The Associated Press journalism.
