Lil Nas X will be the first creator to launch one-of-a-kind, limited edition TikTok NFTs, with the artist Rudy Willingham, which will go on sale on October 6. The collection includes six TikTok videos as one-off NFTs and a series of limited edition NFTs inspired by cultural moments on the short-form video platform. According to TikTok, proceeds from the NFT sales will "largely" go directly to the creators and NFT artists involved or to charity.Other creators releasing TikTok NFTs include Bella Poarch, Curtis Roach, Brittany Broski, FNMeka, Jess Marciante, and Gary Vaynerchuk. The NFTs will be created by NFT artists such as Coin Artist, x0r, RTFKT, and Grimes.
Immutable X is powering the TikTok NFTs
The single-edition NFTs are made available on the Ethereum blockchain. The limited-edition NFTs are powered by Immutable X, which claims to be the first layer 2 solution for NFTs on Ethereum.Every TikTok video from the collection will also be featured in "Infinite Duets: Co-Creating on TikTok," a new exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, N.Y., from October 1 to November 5.
