Tom Brady believes crypto would go mainstream amongst athletes
Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady has revealed that he would love to receive a part of his salary in cryptocurrency. He stated that he would accept payment in Bitcoin, Ether and Solana. The athlete is coming out once again in support of the growth of cryptocurrencies.Brady mentioned this during a SiriusXM podcast earlier this week. Brady stated that “I think it’s an amazing thing that’s happening in the world with the way the world is becoming more digital. And these digital currencies, along with a lot of, if you look how the way the world is going, with all these different digital mediums and how they’re impacting currencies,”
Brady pointed out that he believes cryptocurrencies would be popular amongst athletes. According to the superstar, athletes would love to be paid in cryptocurrencies if given the opportunity.
Brady partnered with crypto exchange FTX
This isn’t the first time Brady is talking about cryptocurrencies. Earlier this year, Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen took an equity stake in FTX, a crypto exchange led by Sam Bankman-Fried. At the time, Brady stated that “It’s an incredibly exciting time in the crypto world, and Sam and the revolutionary FTX team continue to open my eyes to the endless possibilities,”Brady mentioned Solana due to the huge potential that the project has. Sam Bankman-Fried is also a fan of the Solana project and has always been bullish on what it has to offer.
