Tron users ask Coinbase to list TRX in anticipation of US Binance ban
With Binance's US exchange just a couple of months away from trading, users are starting to prepare for the possibility that their favoured coins will not be able to be traded under the new regulations. With a September launch pencilled in, traders are starting to make contingency plans already.
One project that is never far from the headlines, whether or not for the right reasons, is Tron (TRX). With CEO Justin Sun never too far from some form of announcement, the popularity of the project has slowly been on the increase in recent times. Having successfully paid over $4m for lunch with Warren Buffet, Sun's somewhat unorthodox methods to advance the crypto community have equally been met with positivity and criticisms respectively.
For once, it isn't Sun at the forefront of a TRX story, a rarity to say the least. This time, investors have reached out to Coinbase to list the token, in anticipation of Binance US not listing it. The request is not something that should be discarded, and may, in fact, bring mutual benefits for both Coinbase and Tron. The coin is currently 12th in the market cap rankings, and investors have reached out for Sun to work together with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, to add TRX to the easy to use platform. Whether this will be a success and set the path for similar tokens that face a possible no-listing on Binance US will be a key aspect to keep an eye out on for those based in the US.
