Argentina's banks are embracing crypto
Banco Galicia, one of Argentina's leading private banks, announced that it has added a feature to its app's investment section that allows customers to purchase bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), USDC, and XRP. Currently, the bank allows its customers to buy and sell cryptocurrency but not withdraw or send it. With over 4.2 million commercial and individual clients, Banco Galicia is one of the country's largest banks.In response to the announcement, Brubank tweeted that it has also implemented crypto trading features to its website's investing section. Brubank, unlike Banco Galicia, is a less traditional bank because it is an entirely digital, regulated bank that began in 2017. Brubank, according to the website CriptoNoticias, offers bitcoin and ether trading, as well as the stablecoins USD Coin (USDC) and DAI.
