Well-known European Football Clubs canceled deal with Turkey-based Bitci.com
As per a report from Bloomberg, two European Football Clubs have canceled their deals with a Turkey-based crypto group. Recently, European FCs have taken a keen interest in the cryptocurrency industry, partnering with various firms and exchanges. However, the recent turn of events seemed to show something else.
Two European Football clubs cancel their deals
Not one but two European Football clubs have canceled their deals with Bitci.com crypto group, and these are Sporting Lisbon, the club that was responsible for revealing the football superstar Christiano Ronaldo and Spezia Calcio of Italy.It is important to note that Bitci.com has its own blockchain network, which hosts a number of fan tokens, including Brazil and Spanish National Football Teams, Wolverhampton Wanderers Fan Token, RC Celta de Vigo, Moto GP, and more.
These fan tokens provide a number of benefits to the fans of the sports and their teams which acts as an additional source of income for the clubs as well.
The European FC Sporting Lisbon announced that it had made a partnership with Bitci in September but since then went on to say that the two had “strategic disalignment.” Another source added that the “contract was terminated because Bitci failed to make payments.”
Sporting Lisbon has removed every reference to Bitci and its products from the website. In a similar manner, a spokesperson from Spezia European FC revealed the cancellation of the deal.
The increasing number of deals
There has been a steady rise in the number of deals made by exchanges and European FCs. However, the deal is not limited to Europe, and as per a recent report, Binance has formed an alliance with the Argentine Football Association for the next five years.
