Wonderland community in shock after founder confirms core member was behind the QuadrigaCX scam
Wonderland is an Avalanche-based Olympus DAO fork and is the first decentralized reserve currency protocol on the network. The native token of the platform, TIME, fell by nearly 36% after the founder of the protocol, Daniele Sestagalli, via a tweet that the person running the Wonderland Treasury is actually a serial scammer.

The matter was first confirmed by a Twitter user who is known for exposing many crypto-based scams with the pseudonym Zach. In the tweet, Zach confirmed that one of the core members of the Wonderland team is actually the person responsible for the QuadrigaCX scam."0xSifu is the Co-founder of QuadrigaCX, Michael Patryn," tweeted Zach.QuadrigaCX was a failed Canadian cryptocurrency exchange that collapsed in the year 2019 after the founder of the firm disappeared with $169M. Despite having billions of dollars locked in Wonderland during the time of its peak, the Twitter community didn't know how to process this information.

The founder of Wonderland, Daniele Sestagalli, confirmed these allegations via a tweet and said that he approved the onboarding of Sifu or Patryn because he believes that people should be given second chances. He also added that he learned about Sifu's identity about a month ago and decided to give the man a second chance. He also added:"Regardless, what happened has happened. Now having taking some time to reflect, I have decided that he needs to step down until a vote for his confirmation is in place. Wonderland has the say to who manages its treasury not me or the rest of the wonderland team."
Inverse Finance founder Nour Haridy also spoke on the matter as seen in the tweet below. He stated that "Wonderland doesn’t have to be dissolved. It can instead turn into a DAO where holders have full on-chain control." He added that he'll "make a proposal to Wonderland community to use Inverse DAO’s code and assistance in order to become an on-chain DAO governed by its holders and not by a multisig."
