Epic Games, an American video game and software developer and publisher, has confirmed $2 billion in funding from Sony and the firm behind LEGO, KIRKBI to build a metaverse. This marks the entry of a few of the biggest firms in the world into the metaverse with the goal of creating new experiences for users.

Epic Games is now worth $32 billion after this new funding round confirms a report from Binance. Furthermore, the firm aims to advance its vision "to build the metaverse and support its continued growth." Furthermore, the firm behind the highly successful Fortnite has confirmed that "the executive responsibilities remain the same, and Tim Sweeney remains as the company’s CEO."It is also important to note that many other firms have been applying for NFT and trademarks as well.
